The mission of Elementary #2 is to build upon the educational foundation started at Elementary #1 while also deepening and strengthening skills and content knowledge to prepare our students for success at the middle and high school levels. We firmly believe that every child is capable of achieving success and strive to ensure that we nurture and support each student to become the best versions of him or herself. Education is no longer singularly based on academics, and here at Elementary #2, we provide instruction to not only strengthen the academic foundation, but also build a strong social/emotional foundation to help our students develop into well-rounded citizens.

Academically, we offer a curriculum that is based on the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for all subject areas. Our curriculum is supported by the instructional materials that provide opportunities for students to experience instruction that is differentiated to meet them where they are and help them to grow.

Our Positive Behaviors in Schools (PBIS) program helps students to make good choices and develop their character. Students are awarded Pawsome tickets for exhibiting positive behaviors, showing determination, and kindness. Panther Achiever awards are given each month at our Panther Pride assembly to highlight students who best exemplify the pillars of character. Pawsome Praise Passes are awarded to students who go above and beyond throughout the year. These students are awarded a certificate, snack pass, and a positive phone call home.

We pride ourselves on working with the community and families of our students to provide a positive experience for all students. We are always available to stakeholders to discuss any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
